Common Issues & Solutions
Running into a problem? Here are the most common issues and how to resolve them quickly.
Device Not Detected
Ensure USB Debugging is enabled. Try a different USB cable or port. Restart both your computer and device. Install the appropriate USB drivers for your device manufacturer.
Laggy or Choppy Stream
Lower the resolution or bitrate in settings. Use a USB 3.0 cable and port instead of USB 2.0. Close unnecessary background apps on both devices.
Wireless Connection Fails
Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Verify that your firewall is not blocking Vysor. Try connecting via USB first, then switch to wireless.
File Transfer Not Working
File drag-and-drop requires a Premium subscription. Ensure you have an active subscription. For free users, use alternative file transfer methods.
Keyboard Input Not Registering
Some apps block injected input for security. Try using the on-screen keyboard in Vysor. Ensure you have granted all necessary accessibility permissions.
Antivirus False Positive
Vysor is safe software. If your antivirus flags it, add an exception for the Vysor executable. Always download from the official website to ensure authenticity.
Best Practices
Get the most out of Vysor with these pro tips from our power users.
Use USB for Development
For app development and testing, always use a USB connection. It provides the lowest latency and most reliable frame rates for smooth debugging.
Wi-Fi for Presentations
When giving demos or presentations, wireless casting gives you the freedom to move around. Just ensure you are on a strong 5GHz network for best results.
Enable Developer Options
Keep USB Debugging enabled on your test devices. You can also enable "Stay awake while charging" to prevent the screen from timing out during long sessions.
